The position must be able consolidate cancer data from multiple sources into complete, accurate and coherent records fit for use for cancer surveillance and cancer control research. This position is essential for KCR to achieve and maintain high quality data collection and reporting standards.

  • The Markey Cancer Center’s Kentucky Cancer Registry is seeking a qualified tumor registrar (Abstractor Coordinator Senior Regional) to conduct data reporting for a portion of small, acute care hospitals across the state. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining reporting procedures including access of cancer records (either in person or remotely, if available), case finding, and abstracting while maintaining excellent quality. The position may also assist in abstracting non-hospital facility cases or helping with special studies as requested. Will participate in quality audits and correction of data as needed.
