As of 2022, users will have access to the Suspense List feature.  This feature was developed to manage case load for the Rapid Cancer Reporting System; it will continue to evolve overtime.

Setting Suspense

At launch, Suspense List will have a couple of simple features. Users will be able to "flag" a case as "In Suspense" which will populate a list of cases that are incomplete and/or need to be reevaluated in the future. Users may attach a "Suspense Comment" to detail the reasoning for flagging the case.

The Suspense Flag and Comment are non-required case level data items. These values can be set in three places in CPDMS.

  1. CPDMS Create Case Record:
    1. A check box will now show on every Create Case page. Shown in blue below:

    2. Once marking the checkbox, a text box will appear below as shown in orange below. This will allow users to add Suspense detail. The text box can be adjusted by clicking and dragging the corner noted in red below.

    3. Upon hitting submit the user will be directed to the Edit Case page.

  2. CPDMS Create Case from ePath

    1. Similar to the CPDMS Create Case Record screen, there is a "Suspense" checkbox located next to the "Submit" button noted in orange below.

    2. The "Suspense Comment" text box will show above the "Submit" button when the checkbox is marked shown in blue below:

    3. Upon hitting "Create" the user will be directed to the Edit Case page.

  3. Edit Case:

    1. If the "Suspense Flag" is checked on either "Create Case" page displayed above, the "Suspense Flag" and "Suspense Comment" will be displayed and filled out as seen in orange below:
