Certified Tumor Registrar

Identifies, registers and maintains records of all cancer patients by performing to standards of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS, CoC), the Kentucky Cancer Registry and Taylor Regional Hospital.  Will also assist non-CTR registrar with performing case abstraction and to oversee CoC standards of compliance for cancer committee and tumor conferences.

This full time position can be performed remotely, but occasionally there will be a need for this individual to come in to the facility for work.

Education:  High school graduate or equivalent.  Associate Degree in Science or Business preferred.  Certified Tumor Registry Certification required.

Experience: 1-2 years coding experience preferred or 1-2 years experience in tumor registry or utilization management.

Skills:  One of the following is required:

Good communication and computer skills required.  Basic knowledge of payor requirements preferred.
